Free Information Session
To learn more about weight loss surgery, we encourage you to attend a NewStart seminar or participate in an online seminar. Your journey starts here, and it's an effective way for you to learn about NewStart, the surgeons, and the range of possible procedures available to you.
The NewStart Process
Once you’ve attended a NewStart information session and have decided to proceed with surgery, the NewStart team will assist you with your insurance requirements and approval. We will also schedule your psychological evaluation and nutritional counseling session with one of our dietitians. You will then complete your pre-operative lab work and testing. After your surgery, we will work with you on all follow-up treatment and support. We encourage you to attend our support groups not only after surgery, but also while you’re going through the approval process.

One on One
You may not be a candidate for every weight loss surgery. You may prefer a less invasive surgical option, or you may want and require a more invasive type of weight-reduction surgery. Only you and your surgeon can decide which procedure is right for you based on your medical history, your individual weight loss goals and your ability to change your eating and exercise behaviors after surgery.
